Stephanie Schooley lives in Applewood with her husband Paul, their two children, both Jeffco students, and their dog, Easy. Stephanie has worked in the education field since 1998, first through a nonprofit in Northwest Denver, then through Denver Public Schools and the Colorado Department of Education. For the past 19 years Stephanie worked at Campus Compact of the Mountain West, a higher education civic and community engagement nonprofit dedicated to elevating the public good purposes of colleges and universities. Through Campus Compact, Stephanie brought together institutions of higher education, K-12 schools, community organizations, and municipalities to create pathways for engaging students with local communities as a core component of their educational experience.

Stephanie as been an active member of the PTAs at Stober Elementary School and Everitt Middle School, served on the board of Hoofs & Paws Therapeutic Riding Center, was a founding board member of both the Denver and national Young Nonprofit Professionals Networks, and participated on the Jeffco District Accountability Committee and the District Unified Improvement Plan subcommittee.
